Commercial conflict between China and The United States regarding international trade

Abstract

This work will analyze the impact of the trade war between China and the United States in the international trade. The existing literature has been presented and an analysis has been carried out based on the research question. It has been discovered that this conflict has potential to develop very negative consequences for the economies of both countries and also for the global economy. Despite the fact that this conflict is still in progress and nowadays it is not possible to know how it will develop in the future it is clear that there are many factors that affect directly the path of the trade war. From the analysis it can be concluded that despite the uncertainty, the best solution to that situation is to stop carrying out protectionist measures and bet on free trade. Furthermore, following the strategy of cooperation and coevolution, both countries will be able to grow and develop and at the same time maintain a stable and beneficial situation for all in international trade.
