Proyecto educativo sobre la humanización y la ética del cuidado en pacientes al final de la vida

Abstract

A lo largo de los años, la muerte ha sido vivida de forma distinta siendo considerada como un misterio para el ser humano. Los pacientes al final de la vida necesitan una atención multidisciplinar que requiere colaboración de todos los miembros del equipo. La enfermera proporciona acompañamiento y el punto de unión entre la vida y la muerte. La humanización en la atención sanitaria cobra especial sentido en el paciente al final de la vida. Los distintos conceptos éticos ayudan a la profesión de enfermería a realizar una buena práctica clínica. Se propone un proyecto educativo para las enfermeras del Hospital Universitario Gregorio Marañón con la finalidad de recalcar la importancia de humanizar el trato y cuidar con ética a los pacientes al final de la vida. Para dicho proyecto se realizarán dos sesiones presenciales, actividades vía internet y en dinámica de grupos para reforzar los conocimientos, las habilidades, las actitudes y conseguir los objetivos propuestos.

Death has been experienced in different ways and considered as a mystery for human beings along the years. Patients at the end of their lives need a multidisciplinary attention which require all the team members’ collaboration. The nurse is both the accompaniment and nexus between life and death. Treatment humanisation is especially meaningful at the end of the patient’s life. The different ethical concepts help nursing to perform a good medical praxis applying welfare and autonomy principles. An Educational Project is proposed for the nurses in the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón aiming at emphasising the importance of humanising the treatment and ethics of the care in patients at the end of their lives. In order to carry out this project, there will be two sessions and online tasks in group work to reinforce the contents, skills and attitudes to achieve the said objectives.
