Papel de la enfermera especializada en amiloidosis hereditaria por TTR

Abstract

Ante los recientes descubrimientos sobre la amiloidosis por transtirretina, también llamada enfermedad de Andrade, surgen vacíos teóricos y técnicos que cubrir y que se siguen investigando. En este trabajo de fin de grado se expondrán los aspectos teóricos conocidos hasta hoy propios de la enfermedad, se hablará del papel de la enfermería en este ámbito y se desarrollarán, partiendo de casos clínicos y de información obtenida a través de diferentes fuentes, valoraciones, diagnósticos, recomendaciones nutricionales, consejos genéticos, pautas de seguimiento y cuidados aplicados de enfermería. Este trabajo representa un proyecto que tendrá como objetivo aportar claridad a la comunidad enfermera sobre dicha enfermedad poco conocida desde nuestro ámbito, definiendo el perfil de la enfermera especializada en amiloidosis hereditaria por TTR y de su trabajo. La metodología consistirá en la obtención de información a través de entrevistas realizadas tanto a médicos especialistas como a profesionales de enfermería que han tratado con pacientes de este tipo, así como a los propios pacientes, transformando de esta manera la información obtenida en práctica enfermera.

Due to the recent discoveries about transthyretin amyloidosis, also called Andrade's disease, theoretical and technical gaps come up to be filled and are still being investigated. In this bachelor´s thesis, every theoretical aspect known to date own of the disease will be set forth, the role of the nurse in this subject will be discussed and, starting from clinical cases and information obtained from diverse sources, evaluations, diagnoses, nutritional recommendations, genetic council, follow up guidelines and specific cares of nursing science will be put forward. This project will have the objective of providing clarity to the nursing community about the rare disease, familial amyloidotic polyneuropathy (FAP), and define the role and job of a specialized nurse in hereditary amyloidosis by transtirretine. The methodology will be based in gathering information through interviews with both specialised doctors and nursing professionals who have treated patients with the disease, as well as the patients themselves, thus transforming the information obtained into nursing practice.
