Impacto económico del golf en la economía española

Abstract

Este trabajo de fin de grado busca analizar cuál es el impacto económico, tanto directo como indirecto, que tiene la industria del golf en la economía española. Para confirmar si este impacto es positivo o no, nos centraremos en variables como la facturación de las actividades económicas vinculadas a los campos de golf, que incluye desde el ingreso de los greenfees y cuotas de socios, a gasto en tiendas o clases de golf. Seguiremos analizando el impacto que esta industria tiene en la economía tanto en términos de producción como en generación de rentas y empleo, para lo cual se estudiarán variables como el turismo que se genera a raíz de esta industria y el perfil de gasto que tiene este tipo de turista. Finalmente, se estudiarán tres torneos claves en la historia del golf español que han sido y serán fuertes fuentes de ingresos económicos y que consecuentemente benefician a otros sectores y a las regiones en las que se celebran. Las conclusiones del trabajo nos permitirán afirmar que el golf no solo es un deporte, sino también una actividad empresarial que influye positivamente en la economía y en otros sectores y que es un dinamizador económico y sostenible que genera riqueza, empleo y bienestar.

This final degree paper aims to analyze the economic impact, both direct and indirect, of the golf industry on the Spanish economy. To confirm whether this impact is positive or not, we will focus on variables such as the turnover of economic activities linked to golf courses, which includes from the income generated from green fees and membership fees to golf stores or golf lessons. We will continue analyzing the impact that this industry has on the economy both in terms of production and income and employment generation, for which we will study variables such as tourism generated by this industry and the spending profile of this type of tourist. Finally, we will study three key tournaments in the history of Spanish golf that have been and will be strong sources of economic income and that consequently benefit other sectors and the regions in which they are held. The conclusions of the paper will allow us to affirm that golf is not only a sport, but also a business activity that positively influences the economy and other sectors and that it is an economic and sustainable dynamizer that generates wealth, employment and welfare.
