Política exterior de Estados Unidos bajo el mandato de George Bush: las intervenciones en Irak y Afganistán

Abstract

Este trabajo analizará las actuaciones de Estados Unidos durante las intervenciones en Afganistán e Irak desde los atentados del 11 de septiembre de 2001 hasta el año 2021, cuando finalizó la guerra con Afganistán. Se utilizará una perspectiva teórica crítica y una metodología mixta para analizar los discursos iniciales de cada conflicto, así como las consecuencias económicas, sociales y políticas de las guerras. El objetivo principal es evaluar la realidad de ambos conflictos armados, mediante una serie de preguntas planteadas sobre las acciones de Estados Unidos, las justificaciones proporcionadas por la administración Bush y las consecuencias de ambas intervenciones.

This study will analyse the actions of the United States during the interventions in Af-ghanistan and Iraq from the September 11, 2001 attacks until the year 2021, when the war in Afghanistan concluded. A critical theoretical perspective and a mixed method-ology will be employed to examine the initial discourses of each conflict, as well as the economic, social and political consequences of the wars. The main objective is to eval-uate the reality of both armed conflicts through a series of questions raised regarding the actions of the United States, the justifications provided by the Bush administration, and the consequences of both interventions.
