Memoria online : YouTube y las narrativas del Holocausto en la sociedad alemana

Abstract

Este trabajo se centra en estudiar la experiencia del Holocausto en la sociedad alemana. Las narrativas en torno a la experiencia del Holocausto no son homogéneas, sino que la necesidad de gestionar este episodio traumático da lugar, aún hoy, a múltiples reacciones. En concreto, este trabajo busca en primer lugar analizar la evolución de los distintos relatos desde la posguerra a la actualidad, identificando qué narrativas han tenido mayor influencia. En segundo lugar, mediante un análisis del lenguaje utilizado por usuarios alemanes en comentarios de publicaciones de la plataforma YouTube relacionadas con el Holocausto y la Segunda Guerra Mundial, se busca identificar las narrativas que se encuentran más ampliamente extendidas entre la ciudadanía alemana contemporánea.

This paper focuses on the experience of the Holocaust in German society. The narratives surrounding the Holocaust experience are not homogeneous, but rather the need to manage this traumatic episode gives rise, even today, to multiple reactions. Specifically, this paper seeks first to analyze the evolution of the different narratives from the postwar period to the present day, identifying which narratives have had the greatest influence. Secondly, through an analysis of the language used by German users in comments on YouTube posts related to the Holocaust and World War II, we seek to identify the narratives that are most widespread among contemporary German citizens.
