¿Cuál ha sido el impacto de la derecha radical en la derecha mainstream española?

Abstract

En estos últimos años, la derecha radical populista ha mostrado su influencia en algunos países europeos. Los tradicionales casos franceses o suecos han llamado mucho la atención de la literatura; el de VOX en España, no obstante, sigue infra-estudiado. En este trabajo, se analizará desde una perspectiva teórica y analítica el impacto que ha tenido la derecha radical española en aspectos como la estrategia y las transferencias de voto, las actitudes políticas ante dimensiones como la tolerancia social o el sentimiento patriótico, y el posicionamiento de la derecha mainstream en determinados asuntos ante el surgimiento de VOX. En conclusión, puede decirse que VOX representa cierta modernización ideológica y organizativa respecto a la ultraderecha tradicional en España. Sin embargo, en base a su naturaleza ideológica, se señalan ciertos factores que pueden obstaculizar su consolidación a medio y largo plazo.

In recent years, the radical populist right has shown its influence in some European countries. The traditional French and Swedish cases have attracted much attention in the literature; the case of VOX in Spain, however, remains under-studied. In this paper, we will analyse from a theoretical and analytical perspective the impact of the Spanish radical right on aspects such as voting strategy and vote transfers, political attitudes towards dimensions such as social tolerance or patriotic sentiment, and the positioning of the mainstream right on certain issues in the face of the emergence of VOX. In conclusion, it can be said that VOX represents a certain ideological and organisational modernisation with respect to the traditional far right in Spain. However, based on its ideological nature, certain factors can be identified that may hinder its consolidation in the medium and long term.
