Abstract

Estudio documental y estilístico del conjunto de pinturas murales del convento de Sant Bonaventura de Llucmajor (Mallorca), que se desarrolló entre los siglos XVII y XVIII. Se analizan las fuentes iconográficas que lo inspiraron y su originalidad en el contexto de las Baleares. Todo ello evidencia hasta qué punto se trata de un testimonio fundamental de la técnica de la grisalla aplicada a los claustros religiosos y de las funciones didácticas que estos últimos adquirieron durante la edad moderna.

Documentary and stylistic study of the set of mural paintings in the convent of Sant Bonaventura in Llucmajor (Mallorca), which developed between the 17th and 18th centuries. The iconographic sources that inspired it and its originality in the context of the Balearic Islands are analyzed. All this shows to what extent it is a fundamental testimony of the grisaille technique applied to religious cloisters and of the didactic functions that the latter acquired during the modern age.
