Etapas en el Desarrollo de la Metrología Sanitaria en España

Abstract

Uno de los objetivos clave en el campo de la metrología a nivel internacional es que las medidas realizadas en el campo de la salud sean trazables, que dichas medidas sean fiables e intercomparables entre distintos hospitales e incluso dentro del propio hospital. En España, disponemos de una extensa Red Nacional de Hospitales públicos y privados, por lo que es necesario el desarrollo de una estructura que permita monitorizar y controlar los dispositivos médicos utilizados en las medidas de diagnóstico para la salud con el fin de que sus mediciones sean fiables y trazables. Debido a las grandes implicaciones que tienen las medidas para la salud del ciudadano, es importante crear una cultura metrológica dentro del ámbito sanitario español.

One of the key objectives in the field of metrology at international level is that the measurements made in the field of health should be traceable, that these measurements should be reliable and intercomparable between different hospitals and even within the hospital itself. In Spain, we have an extensive national network of public and private hospitals, so it is necessary to develop a structure to monitor and control the medical devices used in diagnostic measurements for health so that their measurements are reliable and traceable. Due to the great implications that the measurements have for the health of the citizen, it is important to create a metrological culture within the Spanish health field.
