Proyecto Innovación - La biblioteca escolar como fuente de animación a la lectura

Abstract

El siguiente Trabajo de Fin de Grado ofrece una propuesta innovadora que consiste en un proyecto educativo de animación a la lectura cuyo hilo conductor es la transformación de las bibliotecas escolares. Para ello, primero se ha realizado una investigación centrada en la trascendencia de la lectura en el desarrollo integral de los alumnos de Educación Primaria, junto con una reflexión sobre la importancia de las bibliotecas y sus beneficios. Asimismo, para fundamentar la propuesta, se ha llevado a cabo un análisis de las bibliotecas tradicionales y los nuevos espacios educativos, estableciendo después una serie de conclusiones y proponiendo una nueva visión del espacio denominado “biblioteca escolar”.

El proyecto está diseñado como una prueba piloto, contextualizado en un centro educativo público de un municipio al norte de la Comunidad de Madrid, y tiene como destinatarios los alumnos del tercer curso de la etapa de Primaria. Concretamente, se presenta una descripción de la renovación estética del espacio y algunas de las posibilidades metodológicas que esta nueva biblioteca escolar va a ofrecer, en forma de actividades. La temática escogida para ambientar todo el proyecto es el océano, un tema tan relevante que es el objetivo número catorce de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible propuestos por la ONU. La creación del entorno físico está pensada para que los niños tengan la sensación de introducirse en otro mundo y, junto al diseño de las actividades, se pretende alcanzar el objetivo principal de la propuesta: aumentar la motivación de los alumnos por la lectura, favoreciendo así la adquisición del hábito lector.

As an end-of-degree final assignment, the following document offers an Innovation Project Proposal. It consists of an educational project to encourage reading through school libraries. Therefore, firstly, it has been carried out research focused on the importance of reading for an all-round development in Primary Education students. Furthermore, it has been reflected about the importance of libraries and their benefits. In addition, the analysis of traditional libraries and new educational spaces have led to a series of conclusions where the main idea is a new vision of the space known as the "school library".

The project is designed as a pilot test, which is contextualized in a public school in the northern part of the Community of Madrid. It is intended for students in the third year of the Primary stage. Specifically, it is described the aesthetic renewal of the space and some of the methodological possibilities that this new school library will offer, in the form of activities. The theme chosen to set the entire project is the ocean. It is such a relevant topic that it is named as the objective number fourteen, from the Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the ONU. Altogether, the activities proposed and the creation of a physical environment where the children have the feeling of entering another world, looks for the achievement of the main objective of the Innovation Project Proposal: to increase the motivation of students for reading, thus favoring the acquisition of the reading habit.
