Abstract

.La octava edición implica una reestructuración completamente nueva de la obra, que ahora consta de 6 volúmenes y tres tomos. Este primer tomo se divide en dos volúmenes que cubren completamente la teoría general del contrato, el concepto y fundamentos del seguro, las características del contrato, los elementos esenciales (RIESGO, INTERÉS), la póliza, el condicionado y los deberes y obligaciones de las partes, para concluir con la prescripción y la duración del contrato de seguro. La obra está muy actualizada y la jurisprudencia, tanto española como de países avanzados en el ámbito del seguro (Alemania, Francia, Italia, Reino Unido, Canadá y Estados Unidos), proporciona marcos extraordinarios de reflexión y comparación que se integran en la obra.

This eighth edition represents a completely new restructuring of the work, which now consists of 6 volumes and three tomes. This first tome is composed of two volumes that cover in their entirety the general theory of contract, the concept and basis of insurance, the characteristics of the contract, the essential elements (RISK, INTEREST), the policy, the conditions, and the duties and obligations of the parties, concluding with the prescription and duration of the insurance contract. Extensively updated, the work incorporates case law from both Spain and the most advanced countries in the field of insurance (Germany, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States), providing extraordinary frameworks for reflection and comparison that are integrated into the work.
