Abstract

No es necesario haber tenido una experiencia mística para poder enseñar la asignatura de Religión. Pero, si se quiere transmitir la importancia de la religión en la vida de las personas, es fundamental la voluntad de vivirla y querer saber más sobre Dios.

Se trata de una asignatura diferente, ya que educa a la persona en ámbitos que siempre han formado parte del ser humano. Intentamos comprender conceptos y vivencias que, por su trascendencia, siempre han estado y estarán ligados a nuestra especie.

El profesor de Religión debería poseer al menos dos características que complementen la figura del maestro convencional: una serie de conocimientos e interés por el hecho y el sentido religioso del ser humano, y una mayor flexibilidad y apertura –si cabe– para poder responder a cuestiones tan complejas como las que se describen en este libro.

It is a different subject, since it educates the person in areas that have always been part of the human being. We try to understand concepts and experiences which, because of their transcendence, have always been and will always be linked to our species.

The Religion teacher should possess at least two characteristics that complement the conventional teacher: knowledge of and interest in the religious fact and meaning of the human being, and greater flexibility and openness - if possible - to be able to respond to such complex questions as those described in this book.
