¿Verdaderamente ha desaparecido ETA?

Abstract

“ETA” constituye un momento histórico en nuestro país, cometió durante más de cuarenta años distintos atentados terroristas que dejaban cientos de víctimas atrás, abogando por la independencia del País Vasco y la imposición de un gobierno marxista. Durante todo este tiempo, fue evolucionando hasta adquirir más poder y militantes tanto en el País Vasco como en el resto de España. Este hecho, tuvo grandes repercusiones en el país y obligó al gobierno a tomar medidas drásticas para luchar contra la banda criminal hasta conseguir su desarme definitivo en 2017, a pesar del cese de su actividad, la inestabilidad política y social tuvo grandes repercusiones en el Estado. Actualmente, la ideología de ETA e incluso algunos de sus miembros siguen presentes en nuestra sociedad y la preocupación y el miedo todavía invaden a muchos ciudadanos a pesar de que hayan pasado muchos años.

“ETA” constitutes a historical moment in our country, committing many terrorist attacks for over forty years, leaving behind hundreds of victims, claiming for the independence of the Basque Country and the imposition of a Marxist government. Throughout this time, ETA developed until it gained more power and members both in the Basque Country and the rest of Spain. This had many repercussions in the country, compelling the government to take drastic measures to combat the criminal organization until achieving its definitive disarmament in 2017. Despite the cessation of its activities, the political and social instability had profound consequences for the state. Currently, the ideology of ETA and even some of its members remain present in our society, and concern and fear still pervade many citizens, despite many years having passed.
