Influencia del kinesio tape en el tratamiento de fisioterapia de la lumbalgia inespecífica

Abstract

El dolor lumbar es un síndrome musculoesquelético o un conjunto de síntomas cuya característica principal es la presencia de dolor en la región lumbar. El 85% de los casos de dolor lumbar corresponde a una causa inespecífica. El dolor lumbar inespecífico es un dolor más o menos intenso, que cambia su intensidad dependiendo de las posturas y la actividad física. El objetivo del estudio es determinar la influencia de la inclusión de kinesio tape en el tratamiento habitual de fisioterapia de la lumbalgia inespecífica. Se trata de un estudio epidemiológico, analítico, experimental, longitudinal (pretest/postest) y enmascarado. La muestra del estudio son 80 sujetos que presentan lumbalgia inespecífica, con edades comprendidas entre 30 y 35 años. Dichos sujetos serán diagnosticados por un traumatólogo del Hospital Universitario de Getafe. Se dividirán a los sujetos en dos grupos de forma aleatoria utilizando el generador de números aleatorios de Excel®. Al primer grupo se le aplicará el tratamiento habitual de fisioterapia y el segundo grupo recibirá el tratamiento habitual de fisioterapia y a continuación se le aplicará kinesio tape. Se realizarán dos mediciones: una antes de comenzar el tratamiento y la otra al finalizarlo. Se medirán el ROM y el dolor. Para valorar el ROM se utilizará el spinal mouse, y para medir el dolor se utilizará una escala EVA. Se calculará la variable resultado para así comparar las mediciones.

Low back pain is a musculoskeletal syndrome or a set of symptoms whose main characteristic is the presence of pain in the lumbar region. 85% of cases of low back pain corresponds to a nonspecific cause. The nonspecific low back pain is a more or less intense pain that changes the intensity depending on the positions and physical activity. The aim of the study is to determine the influence of the incorporation of kinesio tape in the usual physiotherapy treatment of the nonspecific low back pain. This is an epidemiological, analytical, experimental, longitudinal (pretest/posttest), prospective and simple blinded studio. The sample of the studio is 80 subjects with nonspecific low back pain, aged between 30 and 35 years. These subjects will be diagnosed by an orthopedic surgeon of the Hospital Universitario de Getafe. Subjects will be divided into two groups randomly using the random number generator Excel®. The first group will receive the usual physiotherapy treatment and the second group will receive the usual physiotherapy treatment and then will apply kinesio tape. Two measurements will be made: one before starting and the other to finish it. ROM and pain will be measured. To assess the ROM will be used a spinal mouse, and the pain will be measured by VAS scale. The resultant variable is calculated to compare measurements.
