Teología de la movilidad humana. De la hospitalidad al derecho a no tener que emigrar

Abstract

El presente estudio nace con la firme intención de poner palabras a la voz de la Iglesia en lo que toca al problema de la movilidad humana, sobre todo cuando se trata de movilidad forzada, y no libre y voluntaria. Es cuestión compleja sobre la que no conviene escatimar esfuerzos, tanto en su exposición como en la búsqueda concreta de respuestas. A ello intenta contribuir este ensayo: ayudando a tomar conciencia de la gravedad del asunto, explicando la postura católica en materia de migraciones, dando claves y herramientas a todos los agentes de pastoral dedicados a este fenómeno y, en definitiva, presentando la movilidad humana como un espacio de diálogo y encuentro. De encuentro con Dios y, como consecuencia inmediata, con el otro, con el extraño, en quien se reconoce no solo a un interlocutor válido, sino, sobre todo, por encima de todo, a un hermano.

The present study is born with the firm intention of giving voice to the Church's perspective on the issue of human mobility, particularly when it involves forced, rather than free and voluntary, migration. It is a complex issue that warrants significant effort both in its exposition and in the concrete search for responses. This essay seeks to contribute to this effort by raising awareness of the gravity of the matter, explaining the Catholic stance on migration, providing key insights and tools to all pastoral agents dedicated to this phenomenon, and ultimately presenting human mobility as a space for dialogue and encounter. An encounter with God and, as an immediate consequence, with others—especially with the stranger, who is recognized not only as a valid interlocutor but, above all, as a brother.
