This paper studies what is sexual violence as a weapon for war, who is affected by it and which consequences it has for the individual that suffers it and for the whole society, within the framework of the war in Iraq that started in 2003 with the invasion of the United States if Iraq. The use of sexual violence as a weapon in the context of a conflict happens in every war that takes place nowadays, because this weapon is very effective at undermining the moral of the individual that suffers it but also at undermining the moral of the whole enemy community. This is one of the main topics that will be studied along this paper.
On the other hand, all the existing presumptions about sexual violence as a weapon of war will be broken. For this reason, the gender issue will be addressed in this practice during the war, because studies on sexual violence are usually focused on women as victims of it. However, throughout the work it will be seen how sexual violence as a weapon of war affects men and women indiscriminately. In addition, it will be investigated in which directions sexual violence as a weapon of war occurred in the 2003 Iraq war, since the best-known case is that of the Abu Graib prisoners, in which US soldiers used sexual violence against iraqis. It will be seen how both US soldiers and Iraqi soldiers used sexual violence as a weapon of war in Iraq in 2003 as opportunists.

Laloux, Eric
The Egyptian military has had long standing tradition of being present in its society and politics since the creation of the republic. This presence has ebbed and flowed through its history but has become increasingly predominant since Mubarak, and with the deposition of Morsi and establishment of Al-Sisi the military has become further entrenched in the system. Therefore, current Egypt can be classified as a military regime but one that does not adhere fully to either a model ruled solely by a strongman nor by a junta. Instead, a certain balance has been established between the ruler and the military. This paper therefore seeks to examine the nature of the Egyptian regime, the process that has led to such a predominant position of the military and the balance reached between both figures. This is then applied to analyse how it affects the way the regime maintains its control on society. To do so on theory regarding authoritarian regimes, civil-military relations, institutionalization of authoritarian regimes and theories on authoritarian control are applied. With it, the limits and conditions established between the military and the President are explored, as well as the context of the regime. Through it, an examination of the particularities of such regime and of its most important institutional players is carried out, observing where they follow patterns established by theory and where they diverge from them.

In the current article we challenge the leading perspective to state that political parties are not simply a mirror of existing social cleavages, but actively create and shape those divisions. For this purpose, we will analyse the history of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with the objective of identifying the variables that explain the unification, disintegration, and reunification of the Hindu vote around the BJP. We will conclude that the concentration of the Hindu vote is a result of the BJP’s political articulation strategies, one of moderation and the other of polarisation.

CHINA FIGHT FOR SUPREMACY
Igualmente, el estudio también permitirá al lector establecer si la neutralidad es plausible a través del escenario internacional actual.; As for now, there are tensions amongst the 2 superpowers: China and the US. This conflict, due to globalization and interdependence, reflects and has consequences around the globe. This study will start by focusing on how the European Union policies have managed this confrontation till present day. Whether the EU has been more prompt to adopt one of the following positions: being US´s ally, being China´s ally or being neutral throughout the conflict. After this information is presented, neutrality as a diplomatic strategy will be the focus of the investigation. This paper will then try to establish what are the perks, drawbacks, and difficulties that a State could face when opting for this “no-alliance” position succesfully. Or even if it is possible to adopt such a position. Furthermore, the previous information will be used to analyze the effects the EU could face, by adopting such position through a hypothetical Taiwan vs. China war. Therefore, the goal of this research would be to come up with enough data to support which strategy would be the best for the EU to adopt on the US vs. China conflict from now on. One step further, the study will also allow the reader to establish whether neutrality is plausible through the actual international canvas.
