Astarloa Navarro, Lola
El presente trabajo explora cómo la psicología puede ayudar en la preparación para la&#13;
jubilación, enfocándose en la resiliencia y la espiritualidad como claves para un ajuste&#13;
saludable. La resiliencia permite afrontar los cambios con flexibilidad y descubrir nuevas&#13;
oportunidades de crecimiento, mientras que la espiritualidad, entendida como un sentido&#13;
de trascendencia, se asocia con un mayor bienestar en personas mayores. A través de una&#13;
revisión bibliográfica, se analizan las estrategias de intervención psicológica más&#13;
eficaces, junto con el impacto de los valores y la dimensión espiritual en la transición&#13;
hacia la jubilación. Se destaca la importancia de fortalecer la red de apoyo, emplear&#13;
estrategias de afrontamiento positivo y fomentar actividades significativas. El objetivo es&#13;
ofrecer una perspectiva integral que transforme la jubilación en una etapa de desarrollo&#13;
personal y bienestar, en lugar de considerarla como una pérdida o final de ciclo, y mejorar&#13;
la calidad de vida y el bienestar emocional de las personas en este proceso de transición.; This paper explores how psychology can help in preparing for retirement, focusing on&#13;
resilience and spirituality as keys to a healthy adjustment. Resilience allows coping with&#13;
change with flexibility and discovering new opportunities for growth, while spirituality,&#13;
understood as a sense of transcendence, is associated with greater well-being in older&#13;
people. Through a literature review, analyses the most effective psychological&#13;
intervention strategies, together with the impact of values and the spiritual dimension in&#13;
the transition to retirement. The importance of strengthening the support network, using&#13;
positive coping strategies and encouraging meaningful activities is highlighted. The&#13;
objective is to offer a holistic perspective that transforms retirement into a stage of&#13;
personal development and well-being, rather than considering it as a loss or end of cycle,&#13;
and to improve the quality of life and emotional well-being of people in this transition&#13;
process.

<summary type="text">Assessment of AI’s Impact on Critical Thinking in Higher Education: A Systematic Review of Evaluation Methods
Pedrosa Prats, Elena
Background: The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in higher education has accelerated rapidly, prompting growing interest in their impact on students’ critical thinking (CT) skills. While some studies suggest that AI can enhance analytical reasoning and reflective learning, others raise concerns about overreliance and cognitive offloading. Despite this growing literature, the conceptualization and measurement of “critical thinking” remain inconsistent across studies, complicating efforts to synthesize findings. Objectives: This systematic review examines how recent empirical studies (2022–2025) define, operationalize, and assess critical thinking in the context of AI-enhanced learning in higher education. Specifically, it investigates the theoretical frameworks employed, the assessment tools used, the types of AI tools integrated, and the reported outcomes on CT development. Methods: Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, we conducted a systematic search in Scopus, Web of Science, and ERIC for studies published between 2022 and February 2025 that involved higher education student populations, AI-based tools, and CT-related outcomes. A total of 22 eligible studies were identified and analyzed using narrative synthesis and thematic coding. Risk of bias was assessed using JBI and CASP tools. Results: Only 8 of the 22 studies provided a formal definition of critical thinking, and even fewer used dedicated CT assessment instruments. Most studies relied on mixed methods and domain-specific performance tasks. The findings indicate that AI tools can support CT development, particularly when embedded in human-facilitated learning environments that promote reflection, evaluation, and dialogue. However, studies also reported risks such as superficial learning and diminished metacognitive engagement when AI was used as a cognitive substitute. Conclusions: AI’s impact on critical thinking in higher education is shaped by tool design, instructional context, and the clarity of CT conceptualization. This review highlights the need for consistent definitions, theoretically grounded assessments, and pedagogical models that combine AI affordances with reflective, instructor-guided learning. Future research should emphasize longitudinal designs and the development of CT-specific instruments aligned with validated frameworks.;

Obesity is a chronic disease with high prevalence that affects millions of people worldwide. This condition not only increases the risk of developing physical illnesses, but it also significantly impacts the mental health of those who suffer from it. In particular, childhood obesity has become one of the main public health concerns, as the interaction between biological, psychological, and social factors contributes to its development and maintenance.
One of the often overlooked aspects in the treatment of obesity is the emotional relationship with food. Emotional eating, defined as using food to regulate emotions, is closely linked to obesity and can lead to dysfunctional eating patterns. This phenomenon not only contributes to weight gain but also perpetuates an unhealthy relationship with food. Therefore, psychological treatment plays a crucial role in helping patients identify and manage their emotions effectively, which in turn can help modify eating behaviors.
This thesis aims to explore the most effective psychological interventions for treating obesity, with a particular focus on the emotional and psychological factors influencing its development. Through a review of therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, systemic therapy, and psychoeducation, this work seeks to provide a solid foundation for understanding how these treatments can contribute to modifying eating behaviors and improving the emotional well-being of patients. Additionally, the prevalence of obesity in different population groups will be analyzed to identify risk factors and potential personalized approaches for treating obesity.
