Esto con el fin de contrastar la normativa que regula estas Unidades, las condiciones materiales, educativas y psicosociales que presentan estos espacios físicos, así como el rol de los actores implicados en la gestión del bienestar de los menores de tres años que conviven con sus madres en los centros objeto de estudio. Para llevar a cabo esta investigación, se ha recurrido a la recopilación de discursos de informantes clave, incluyendo a profesionales de las distintas entidades que se coordinan para garantizar el correcto funcionamiento de estos espacios. Los hallazgos principales revelan que, si bien ambos contextos presentan marcos normativos similares y comparten la prioridad de proteger el vínculo materno-filial, en la práctica existen disparidades significativas entre la rigurosidad de la norma y su aplicación práctica. El trabajo concluye que persisten retos críticos en la adecuación de estos espacios a las necesidades evolutivas del menor, manteniendo vigente el debate ético sobre la idoneidad del entorno penitenciario como escenario de crianza. This Final Degree Project consists of a comparative analysis of the childcare systems implemented in the Mother and Baby Units of the Madrid VI Penitentiary Center (Aranjuez) and El Buen Pastor Women`s Prison (Bogotá). The aim is to contrast the regulatory framework of these units, the material, educational and psychosocial conditions of these physical spaces, as well as the role played by the various stakeholders involved in managing the well-being of children under three years of age living with their mothers in the studied facilities. To conduct this research, a qualitative approach was employed, gathering discourses from key informants, including professionals form the different entities coordinated to ensure the proper functioning of these spaces. The main findings reveal that, although both contest present similar regulatory frameworks and share the priority of protecting the mother-child bond, significant disparities exist between the strictness of the regulations and their actual application.
