<dim:field element="description" qualifier="abstract" language="es-ES" mdschema="dc">Este trabajo estudia por qué los estudiantes universitarios utilizan herramientas de inteligencia artificial generativa de forma no declarada o no autorizada, fenómeno conocido como Shadow AI. A partir de modelos de adopción tecnológica y la Economía del Comportamiento, se administró un cuestionario cuantitativo a estudiantes de diversas universidades españolas e internacionales, con especial atención a la Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) y Cardiff University. Los resultados apuntan a que el present bias es el factor con mayor asociación observada con el uso de Shadow AI, seguido de la utilidad percibida y el riesgo percibido. Una segmentación k-means identifica tres perfiles de usuario, "Tramposos", "Intermedios" y "Cautelosos", con patrones actitudinales y sociodemográficos diferenciados. Estos hallazgos deben interpretarse como tendencias exploratorias y no como conclusiones generalizables, dada la naturaleza no probabilística del muestreo y el tamaño moderado de la muestra.</dim:field>
<dim:field element="description" qualifier="abstract" language="en-GB" mdschema="dc">This study examines why university students use generative artificial intelligence tools in an unauthorized or undeclared way, a phenomenon known as Shadow AI. Drawing on technology adoption models and Behavioral Economics, a quantitative survey was administered to students from multiple Spanish and international universities, with a focus on Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) and Cardiff University. Results show that present bias is the strongest predictor of Shadow AI use, followed by perceived utility and perceived risk. A k-means segmentation identifies three user profiles, "Rulebenders", "In-betweeners" and "Cautious", with distinct attitudinal and sociodemographic patterns. These findings should be interpreted as exploratory tendencies rather than generalizable conclusions, given the convenience sampling method and moderate sample size.</dim:field>
