Este trabajo tiene como objetivo principal razonar e identificar, a través de evidencias científicas, qué actividad o tipo de ejercicio físico es aquel que puede producir mejores beneficios en este grupo de pacientes. Para ello, se ha realizado una búsqueda sistemática de diferentes textos científicos en los que se demuestran a través de investigaciones y estudios experimentales en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2. Mediante esta recopilación, se ha podido comprobar y analizar cómo y cuánto afecta el ejercicio físico de manera fisiológica a esta población, centrándose sobre todo a cerca de la sensibilidad a la insulina, y también observar las adaptaciones positivas que provoca el ejercicio físico a estos pacientes. Finalmente, este trabajo busca establecer una relación entre la práctica regular del ejercicio físico y los efectos positivos que provoca en pacientes diagnosticados con diabetes mellitus tipo 2. Además, en este trabajo de fin de grado se aportará de una propuesta de intervención para que esta pueda ser utilizada en beneficio de este grupo de población. This undergraduate thesis presents a literature review focused on analyzing the effects of regular physical activity and exercise on individuals diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The primary objective of this study is to determine, based on scientific evidence, which type of physical activity or exercise yields the greatest benefits for this patient population. To this end, a systematic search was conducted of various scientific texts that demonstrate, through research and experimental studies, the effects on patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Through this compilation, it has been possible to verify and analyze how and to what extent physical exercise affects this population physiologically, focusing primarily on insulin sensitivity, and to observe the positive adaptations that physical exercise induces in these patients. Finally, this study seeks to establish a relationship between regular physical exercise and the positive effects it has on patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
