El autor advierte que, aunque la IAG es capaz de procesar datos y generar información, carece de la facultad propiamente humana de cuestionar y buscar sentido, lo que constituye la base de la racionalidad crítica. A través de referencias a la literatura distópica, la filosofía de la Ilustración y la fenomenología, se examinan los riesgos de delegar el pensamiento en sistemas automatizados, lo que podría derivar en una “servidumbre voluntaria” digital. Frente a ello, se reivindica el lema clásico sapere aude como fundamento de la educación y la investigación. El capítulo concluye que la interacción entre preguntas humanas y respuestas de la IAG puede generar sinergias fructíferas, siempre que se preserve la primacía de la capacidad crítica y reflexiva del ser humano. The chapter reflects on the uniquely human capacity to ask questions as the defining feature distinguishing humans from generative artificial intelligence (GAI). The author argues that, while GAI can process data and produce information, it lacks the distinctly human faculty of questioning and searching for meaning, which forms the foundation of critical rationality. Drawing on dystopian literature, Enlightenment philosophy, and phenomenology, the text highlights the risks of delegating thinking to automated systems, potentially leading to a digital form of “voluntary servitude.” In response, the classical motto sapere aude is reclaimed as a cornerstone of education and research.
