Por ello, resulta necesario continuar investigando tratamientos que resulten eficaces y accesibles. La estimulación transcraneal por corriente directa (tDCS) es una técnica de neuromodulación no invasiva, con potencial terapéutico para el tratamiento de la DPP, debido a su portabilidad, accesibilidad y menor perfil de efectos secundarios. El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo analizar la evidencia científica existente sobre la eficacia de la tDCS en mujeres con DPP. Para ello, se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática en la que, siguiendo las directrices PRISMA, se seleccionaron seis estudios identificados en las bases de datos PubMed, Scopus, PsycInfo y Web of Science. Dada la escasez de estudios y la elevada heterogeneidad metodológica, se realizó una síntesis narrativa de los resultados. Los estudios incluidos reflejan un posible efecto beneficioso de la tDCS en la reducción de sintomatología depresiva en mujeres con depresión posparto. Sin embargo, la limitada evidencia disponible impide establecer conclusiones firmes y recomendaciones clínicas sobre la eficacia de esta técnica en esta población específica. The aim of this study was to analyze the existing scientific evidence on the efficacy of tDCS in women with PPD. To this end, a systematic review was conducted in which, following the PRISMA guidelines, six studies identified in the PubMed, Scopus, PsycInfo, and Web of Science databases were selected. Given the scarcity of studies and the high methodological heterogeneity, a narrative synthesis of the results was performed. The included studies suggest a possible beneficial effect of tDCS in reducing depressive symptoms in women with postpartum depression.
