La importancia de la psicomotricidad en el desarrollo integral del alumnado de Educación Infantil

Abstract

El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado expone el diseño y desarrollo de una programación didáctica centrada en el área de psicomotricidad para el segundo nivel del segundo ciclo de Educación Infantil (4 años), se contextualiza en el centro educativo “Nuestra Señora de la Merced”, ubicado en Tres Cantos (Madrid). La propuesta se fundamenta en el marco legal vigente, siguiendo el Decreto 36/2022, de 8 de junio (BOCM), por el que se establece para la Comunidad de Madrid la ordenación y el currículo de Educación Infantil. Esta programación tiene en cuenta el carácter globalizador donde el movimiento, la emoción y el pensamiento se entrelazan para potenciar el desarrollo integral del alumnado. Estará basada en una metodología totalmente lúdica en la que el aprendizaje significativo es su eje esencial. Esta programación tiene una estructura interdisciplinar. No se presenta como un compartimento estanco, sino que se hila a través de tres grandes proyectos que vertebran el curso escolar: “Los Animales”, “El Invierno” y “El viaje por Europa”. Esta conexión permite que las sesiones de psicomotricidad cobren sentido dentro del contexto de aprendizaje del aula. Asimismo, se promueve un enfoque de trabajo cooperativo, no solo entre el alumnado, sino de forma interprofesional con el equipo docente del centro, asegurando una coherencia pedagógica en todas las áreas de desarrollo. En conclusión, este trabajo busca demostrar que la práctica psicomotriz estructurada y vinculada a proyectos de centro es la herramienta más eficaz para consolidar la motricidad fina y gruesa, las funciones ejecutivas y las habilidades socioemocionales en el curso de 4 años, cumpliendo así con los objetivos de etapa y las competencias clave que marca la normativa educativa actual.

This Final Degree Project presents a Didactic Syllabus for Psychomotricity, designed for 4-year-old children in the second cycle of Early Childhood Education. The project is set in the school "Nuestra Señora de la Merced," located in Tres Cantos (Madrid). The proposal follows the current law, specifically Decree 36/2022, of June 8th (BOCM), which sets the curriculum for Early Childhood Education in the Community of Madrid. The main idea of this work is to see psychomotricity as a global process where movement, emotions, and thinking are connected to help children develop fully. Following the current educational laws and several experts, the methodology is based on play and meaningful learning. This means that children are the main characters of their own learning, using their bodies to explore and understand the world instead of just repeating exercises. A key part of this project is its organization through three main themes that connect everything during the school year. These three projects are: "The Animals", "Winter", and "The Journey through Europe". This way, the psychomotricity sessions are not isolated; they are connected to what the children are learning in their main classroom. This requires cooperative work between all the teachers to make sure that the educational goals are the same across all areas. In conclusion, this project shows that a well-organized psychomotricity plan, linked to interesting projects, is the best tool to improve motor skills, coordination, and social abilities in 4-year-olds. By using movement and play, we help students reach the goals and competencies required by the law while they enjoy their learning process.
