This chapter provides an analysis on the links of climate change, energy, and international trade, specifically from the perspective of the EU’s external relations. The chapter first analyzes the links between these three sectors (climate change, energy, and trade). It then examines the environmental language in EU free-trade agreements. Finally, and before the conclusions, it looks at obstacles that explain the lack of coordination between environmental and trade agreements.en-GB
