Luce pertinente esta reflexión cuarenta años después de la Ley de Aguas de 1985, que por vez primera incorporó una visión ecológica del agua y también estableció medidas para la defensa y restauración de las zonas húmedas. En particular, esta visión se concreta en el denominado «Mar de Ontígola», como humedal catalogado y en riesgo en la Comunidad de Madrid. This paper aims to make visible the importance of wetlands in the context of water and ecosystem sustainability, in the context of their legal protection.
