<dim:field element="description" qualifier="abstract" language="es-ES" mdschema="dc">Este estudio analiza el impacto de una experiencia interdisciplinar que integra matemáticas y enseñanza del inglés como lengua extranjera en la formación inicial de docentes de educación primaria. Mediante un diseño cuasi-experimental con grupo control y experimental (N=119), se evalúa la autoeficacia docente, la percepción de la interdisciplinariedad y la aceptación del enfoque CLIL. Los resultados muestran mejoras significativas en la autoeficacia docente en matemáticas e inglés, así como en la valoración de la colaboración interdisciplinar. Sin embargo, no se observan cambios relevantes en la actitud hacia la enseñanza de matemáticas en inglés. Los hallazgos sugieren que este tipo de experiencias fortalece la formación docente y recomiendan ampliar la formación en estrategias colaborativas y CLIL.</dim:field>
<dim:field element="description" qualifier="abstract" language="en-GB" mdschema="dc">Although Content Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) is regulated in bilingual education programmes in Spain, collaboration between mathematics and English remains controversial. This study analyses the impact of an interdisciplinary experience in preservice primary teacher education integrating mathematics and English instruction. Using a pre-test–post-test design with experimental (N=59) and control (N=60) groups, the research evaluates teacher self-efficacy, perceptions of interdisciplinarity, and acceptance of CLIL. Results show significant improvement in teacher self-efficacy for both subjects and in perceptions of interdisciplinary collaboration. However, no significant changes were found in attitudes toward teaching mathematics in English. Findings suggest interdisciplinary experiences enhance teacher training and recommend expanding collaborative and CLIL-based approaches.</dim:field>
