<dim:field element="description" qualifier="abstract" language="es-ES" mdschema="dc">La autorregulación del aprendizaje es un factor clave en la forma en que los estudiantes gestionan sus recursos emocionales, cognitivos y metacognitivos. Este estudio analiza perfiles de autorregulación en 697 estudiantes universitarios españoles mediante análisis de clúster. Se identifican cuatro perfiles: estratégico, no estratégico, externo y ansioso. Los estudiantes estratégicos presentan mayores niveles de autorregulación y autoeficacia, mientras que los ansiosos muestran mayor agotamiento académico. Además, se observan diferencias según el área de estudio y las preferencias de aprendizaje, destacando la valoración de metodologías activas. El estudio subraya la importancia de adaptar las estrategias docentes y de evaluación a la diversidad de perfiles, promoviendo tutorías personalizadas, retroalimentación estructurada y el uso de recursos digitales para mejorar la autonomía y el rendimiento académico.</dim:field>
<dim:field element="description" qualifier="abstract" language="en-GB" mdschema="dc">Self-regulation of learning is a crucial factor in how students manage their emotional, cognitive, and metacognitive resources. This study identifies self-regulation profiles among 697 Spanish university students using cluster analysis. Four learner profiles are identified: strategic, non-strategic, external, and anxious. Strategic learners show the highest levels of self-regulation and self-efficacy, whereas anxious learners report higher levels of study-related exhaustion. Differences are also found across academic fields and learning preferences, with active methodologies being highly valued. The findings highlight the importance of adapting teaching and assessment strategies to diverse learner profiles, including personalized support, structured feedback, and the integration of digital tools to enhance autonomy and academic performance.</dim:field>
