La Pasión de Cristo, núcleo y clave del Evangelio

Abstract

El artículo analiza la centralidad de la pasión de Cristo en los evangelios y su relevancia para comprender plenamente la identidad y misión de Jesús. El autor muestra cómo los relatos de la pasión constituyen el núcleo teológico de los evangelios y presentan la muerte de Jesús como consecuencia de toda su vida y ministerio. Se estudian las particularidades de cada evangelista —Marcos, Mateo, Lucas y Juan— destacando sus diferentes enfoques narrativos y teológicos. Marcos subraya el dramatismo y el abandono; Mateo insiste en el cumplimiento de las Escrituras; Lucas resalta la misericordia y serenidad de Jesús; y Juan presenta la cruz como glorificación y revelación definitiva. Finalmente, el texto reflexiona sobre el sentido espiritual y existencial de la pasión para la vida cristiana y la experiencia del sufrimiento humano.

The article examines the central role of Christ’s passion in the Gospels and its importance for fully understanding Jesus’ identity and mission. The author explains how the passion narratives constitute the theological core of the Gospels and portray Jesus’ death as the consequence of his entire life and ministry. The study reviews the distinctive narrative and theological perspectives of each evangelist —Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John. Mark emphasizes drama and abandonment; Matthew highlights the fulfillment of Scripture; Luke stresses Jesus’ mercy and serenity; and John presents the cross as glorification and definitive revelation. Finally, the article reflects on the spiritual and existential meaning of the passion for Christian life and for understanding human suffering and solidarity with those who suffer.
