This scholarly monograph studies Mark 7:24-30, the encounter between Jesus and the Syrophoenician woman. It examines the distinctive features of the passage within the Gospel of Mark, including the emphasis on the woman’s identity, Jesus’ initial refusal, the woman’s direct reply, and the unusual presentation of the exorcism.
