Revisa sus fundamentos filosóficos, desde críticas históricas al antropocentrismo hasta enfoques contemporáneos como el utilitarismo de Peter Singer, la teoría de los derechos de Tom Regan y las propuestas ecofeministas basadas en el cuidado y la interdependencia. También aborda cuestiones actuales como la experimentación animal, el sufrimiento de animales salvajes, la biotecnología, el veganismo y la justicia interespecie. Finalmente, el texto explica el giro político de la ética animal, destacando propuestas que atribuyen estatus político y derechos diferenciados a animales domesticados, liminales y salvajes.</dim:field>

It reviews its philosophical foundations, from historical critiques of anthropocentrism to contemporary approaches such as Peter Singer’s utilitarianism, Tom Regan’s rights theory, and ecofeminist perspectives centered on care and interdependence. The text also discusses current issues including animal experimentation, wild animal suffering, biotechnology, veganism, and interspecies justice. Finally, it explains the political turn in animal ethics, highlighting proposals that assign political status and differentiated rights to domesticated, liminal, and wild animals.</dim:field>
