Jesus, who is the Word of God, delivers in Matthew 26 his main characteristic, his being a man of a speaking word. By handing the word to Judas and keeping silent in front of Peter and the other disciples, Jesus expresses that delivering oneself is the right way for the one who is on his way to the Cross.
