dc.description.abstract | Las Sociedades Cotizadas de Inversión en el Mercado Inmobiliario (SOCIMI) son unas sociedades de reciente creación que intentan reproducir la figura de los REITs extranjeros. El legislador reguló estas sociedades con la intención de atenuar los duros efectos de la crisis en un sector muy importante para España, el inmobiliario. Durante los últimos años, la regulación de estas sociedades se ha ido adaptando y desarrollando siguiendo los reclamos del mercado. Gracias a las modificaciones normativas, especialmente a una de impulso de la actividad económica a finales de 2012, las SOCIMI han conseguido superar muchas de las debilidades de las Instituciones de Inversión Colectiva Inmobiliaria, figuras que no tuvieron gran éxito en nuestro país. Los cambios normativos y la mejora de la situación económica han favorecido la proliferación de este tipo de sociedades que se presentan como una gran opción para invertir en el mercado inmobiliario. | es-ES |
dc.description.abstract | The “Sociedades Cotizadas de Inversión en el Mercado Inmobiliario” (SOCIMI) are newly created companies that try to reproduce the foreign figure of REITs. The government regulated these companies with the intention of mitigating the harsh effects of the crisis in a very important sector for Spain, the real estate. During the last years, the regulation of these companies has been gradually adapted and developed, following the demands of the market. Thanks to the regulatory changes, especially to one that intended to boost the economic activity at the end of 2012, SOCIMI have succeeded in overcoming many of the weaknesses of the “Instituciones de Inversión Colectiva Inmobiliaria”, entities that were not very successful in our country. The regulatory changes and the improvement of the economic situation have favored the proliferation of these types of companies, and make them out to be a great option to invest in the real estate market. | en-GB |
