dc.description.abstractLa presente exposición recoge una colección de cuarenta retratos, a la manera de las Galerías de Hombres Ilustres. Todas las representadas son mujeres, unas son artistas y otras relacionadas con el mundo del arte como bibliotecarias, críticas de arte, arqueólogas Basándonos en el estudio que desde hace muchos años viene realizando la historiadora del arte Aurora Piñero, no existe un gran número de artistas residentes. Fueron muy pocas, pero de indudable calidad: Menchu Gal, Delhy Tejero, Pepa Lamarque y Joaquina Zamora Sarrate. Todas ellas estudiaron en la Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando y, como no podría ser de otra manera, mantuvieron mucha relación con sus compañeras formando una generación de mujeres progresistas que no ha tenido comparación hasta la última parte del franquismo que tanto empeño puso en ocultarles. El desagravio es aun mayor si se compara con el reconocimiento que en ningún momento dejaron de tener los artistas de la Residencia de Estudiantes. Con el título Pabellón de Mujeres Ilustres las artistas de Generando Arte han puesto su talento al servicio de la creación de una serie de retratos de aquellas que, de manera directa o indirecta, formaron parte de la vida de La Residencia de Señoritas. No solo es importante conocer sus biografías, sus obras y su currículas, para hacerles totalmente visibles, se hace necesario poner rostro a sus nombres y apellidos. En algunas ocasiones habría sido prácticamente imposible con las investigaciones obtenidas, pero los enormes recursos de artista de los que puede presumir el colectivo lo han hecho posible.es-ES
dc.description.abstractThis exhibition includes a collection of forty portraits, like the Gallerie Illustrious Men. All represented are women, some are artists and others related to the art world as librarians, art critics, archeologists ... Based on the study for many years been making art historian Aurora Piñero, there is a large number of resident artists.
