Throughout the history of the electricity industry, regulatory reform has been driven by the pursuit of tools with which to undertake further infrastructure investment under more favourable conditions and, generally, to surmount the obstacles that prevent expansion. The present article addresses the interaction between regulatory frameworks and investment in electric power generation.
