La oralidad fingida en Tres Tristes Tigres de Guillermo Cabrera Infante y su traducción al alemán e inglés

Abstract

El artículo se centra en una de las escenas de la novela Tres Tristes Tigres del escritor cubano Guillermo Cabrera Infante, el monólogo de Magdalena Cruz, para analizar distintos mecanismos de fingimiento de oralidad. Analizamos en primer lugar las distintas estrategias narrativas y lingüísticas adoptados por el autor en esta escena, y en segundo lugar, los recursos narrativos y lingüísticos usados por los traductores al alemán y al inglés con el fin de descubrir la diferencia que puede haber entre la traducción a dos lenguas distintas y fundamentadas en dos estilos de traducción distintos. El objetivo último del estudio es detallar posibles soluciones traslativas de la oralidad fingida extrema representada en esta escena de la novela, evaluando la impresión que causan en la lengua meta.

This article focuses on one of the scenes of the novel Tres Tristes Tigres by the Cuban writer Guillermo Cabrera Infante, the monologue of Magdalena Cruz, to analyze firstly the different literary devices in order to create the impression of orality and, secondly, these narrative and linguistic resources used by the translators of the book into German and English. The aim of the study is to discover the difference that can exist between the translation into two different languages which are based on two different translation styles. The ultimate objective of the study is to discover possible translation procedures and solution to tranfer an example of language experimentation within literary dialogue represented in this scene of the novel, evaluating the impression they cause in the target language.
