El tratamiento de los problemas sexuales en psicoterapia: los conflictos de la intimidad

Abstract

Para algunas personas, el amor y el deseo son inseparables y, sin embargo, para muchas otras personas, la intimidad inhibe la expresión erótica, siendo el apego una variable que se ha demostrado que influye de sobremanera. El deseo sexual nos empuja al encuentro con el otro en la intimidad, y es aquí donde entra en juego la estructura del apego, manifestada a través de los modelos internos. La posibilidad de poder acceder de forma segura al espacio de la intimidad parece depender de la seguridad básica expresada a través del estilo de apego, que es consecuencia directa de la calidad de la historia afectiva. La historia de apego es importante para las relaciones amorosas, ya que es en las relaciones de apego donde se aprende a comunicar de manera íntima, algo esencial en este tipo de relaciones. Podemos ver, cómo personas ansioso ambivalentes tenderán a hiperactivar la respuesta sexual, mostrando además una hipervigilancia. Mientras que, por otro lado, las personas que tienden a un apego de estilo más evitativo mostrarán estrategias de desactivación y menosprecio. Mi propósito es describir las tres dimensiones y ver sus interacciones: para ello desarrollaré el trabajo en dos partes con una aportación resumida de los elementos básicos y marco teórico de las tres variables uy una segunda parte con un análisis.

For some people, love and desire are inseparable, and yet for many other people, intimacy inhibits erotic expression, with attachment being a variable that has been shown to greatly influence. The sexual desire pushes us to the encounter with the other in the intimacy, and this is where the structure of attachment comes into play, expressed through the internal models. The possibility of being able to safely access the space of intimacy seems to depend on the basic security expressed through the attachment style, which is a direct consequence of the quality of the emotional history. The history of attachment is important for love relationships, since it is in attachment relationships where you learn to communicate intimately, something essential in this type of relationship. We can see, how anxious ambivalent people will tend to hyperactivate the sexual response, also showing hypervigilance. While, on the other hand, people who tend to a more avoidant style attachment will show deactivation and belittling strategies. My purpose is to describe the three dimensions and look for their interactions: with these purpose I will develop the work in two parts, firstly with a summary of the basic elements and theoretical framework of the three variables and finally a part with an analysis.
