Every clinical and health psychologist´s praxis must me be guided by a series of ethical principles and deontological rules. Nevertheless/however, several studies have shown that these professionals sometimes make Ethical Transgressions. Therefore, the main aim of this study is to analyze the prevalence of these types of transgressions in a sample of psychologists who have practiced or are now practicing their profession in the clinical/health area. Additionally, we have studied the existence of significant differences in the commission of Ethical Transgressions according to sex, theoretical approach/movement, academic training given/received, and years of professional experience. The sample, composed of 195 subjects (81% women and 19% men), aged from 23 to over 45, was evaluated with the Pope Pope, Tabachnick and Keith-Spiegel Questionnaire (1987) and the Marlowe-Crone Social Desirability Scale (Reynolds, 1992). The results showed a high reliability (α=0.69) in Pope, Tabachnick and Keith-Spiegel Questionnaire (1987) and a high Social Desirability in the sample of participants. We also found significant differences in the statement of making transgressions from the Exploit the patient type according to the order the two questionnaires were given to the participants. We found statistically significant differences in the commission of ethical transgressions from the Equality and Justice type and from the Informed Consent type between the professionals of the different theoretical approaches/movements.
