El futuro de la traducción jurada. Propuesta: El colegio profesional de traductores-intérpretes jurados

Abstract

Tras analizar las carencias legislativas existentes en relación con el traductor-intérprete jurado, el objetivo principal de la investigación realizada es formular una propuesta de colegio profesional de traductores-intérpretes jurados y analizar su viabilidad y utilidad. La propuesta se sustenta en la legislación relevante vigente en España, como es la Ley 2/1974 sobre Colegios Profesionales. A partir de este marco legal, se ha planteado una propuesta adaptada y real con el fin de crear un colegio profesional de traductores-intérpretes jurados que permita ofrecer una normativa a este colectivo, así como aportarles visibilidad. Finalmente, realizamos una síntesis de la situación actual para tratar de comprender qué aportaría este colegio profesional y aquellos posibles problemas que debería afrontar.

After having analysed the lack of legislation dealing with sworn translators and interpreters, the main purpose of this research is to draw up a proposal about the creation of a professional association of sworn translator-interpreters and to analyse its viability and usefulness. This proposal is based on the current concerning legislation in Spain, as the Law 2/1974 regarding professional associations. On the basis of this legal framework, the proposal has been adapted in order to create a professional association that provides regulation and visibility to these professionals. Finally, we summarize the current situation to understand what this professional association would result in and the possible problems that would come together with its creation.
