Eficacia del vendaje neuromuscular en el tratamiento del síndrome de pinzamiento subacromial

Abstract

Antecedentes: El síndrome de pinzamiento subacromial, es una de las afecciones más comunes en el miembro superior, siendo la causa más común en la población en edad productiva, principalmente entre los 45 – 60 años. Objetivos: La intención de este estudio radica en comparar la eficacia de la técnica de vendaje neuromuscular para síndrome de pinzamiento subacromial frente al tratamiento habitual. Metodología: Se efectuará un estudio analítico, experimental, longitudinal, enmascarado, a simple ciego modificado, que tratará de determinar la eficacia de la técnica de vendaje neuromuscular en el síndrome de pinzamiento subacromial mediante dos grupos de tratamiento, divididos de forma aleatoria en un rango entre 18 – 70 años. Un grupo control recibe tratamiento habitual (n=398) frente a un grupo experimental con tratamiento habitual + vendaje neuromuscular (n=398). El tratamiento será llevado a cabo dos veces por semana con una duración total del programa de cinco semanas, la técnica será realizada por un fisioterapeuta experto formado en las técnicas de vendaje neuromuscular y dos fisioterapeutas del Hospital del Tajo. Las mediciones se realizarán pre-intervención y post-intervención, recogiendo resultados de las variables edad, dolor nocturno, ROM en abducción, ROM en rotación externa y funcionalidad al finalizar la última semana de tratamiento. Obteniendo resultados objetivos de la efectividad del KT. El análisis de resultados en la muestra se realizará a simple ciego modificado, por un ingeniero estadístico.

Background: Subacromial Impingement Syndrome is one of the most common infections in the upper limb, and it is even the most common condition on working-age population, mainly between 45 and 60 years old. Objectives: This research is aimed at comparing the efficiency of elastic therapeutic taping method for Subacromial Impingement Syndrome in contrast to the usual treatment. Methodology: An analytical, experimental, longitudinal, blinded and modified blind study will be carried out. Results will try to determine the efficiency of elastic therapeutic taping method for Subacromial Impingement Syndrome in two different groups, arranged randomly within the range between 18 and 70 years old. A control group will be treated with a usual treatment (n=398) in contrast to an experimental group that, apart from usual treatment, will be treated with elastic therapeutic taping (n=398). The treatment will be applied twice a week for five weeks. An expert physiotherapist trained in elastic therapeutic taping methods along with two physiotherapists of the Hospital del Tajo will carry out the technique. Measurements will be taken before and after the treatment. They will take into account the variables of age, pain at night, ROM abduction, ROM external rotation and functionality when finishing the last week of the treatment, and they will show the results. Obtaining objective results of KT efficiency. An expert on statistics will conduct a modified single-blind analysis of the results in the sample.
