Conflictos etnoreligiosos en África : más allá de la religión. Caso de Nigeria

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es analizar los factores que están teniendo un papel fundamental en el conflicto etnoreligioso que vive actualmente Nigeria. La prensa española aporta una visión del conflicto limitada a la imposibilidad de dos entidades culturales distintas de convivir. No obstante, a lo largo de este trabajo tendremos en cuenta el legado colonial, el neocolonialismo británico, la ineficiencia del Gobierno central nigeriano, el mal reparto de los recursos, la ineficiencia del sistema judicial y la influencia ejercida por potencias extranjeras. Todos estos hechos permiten entender con mayor precisión el conflicto.

The aim of this research is to analyze the factors that are influencing the ethnoreligious conflict of Nigeria. The Spanish press provides a vision of the conflict limited to the impossibility of two different cultural entities to live together. However, throughout this work, we will take into account the colonial legacy, British neo-colonialism, the inefficiency of the Nigerian central government, the poor distribution of resources, the inefficiency of the judicial system and the influence exerted by foreign powers. All these facts allow us to understand with greater precision the conflict.
