Abstract
Mientras cualquier persona residente en la Península puede desplazarse por todo el territorio con su vehículo, en guagua o en tren, un canario está obligado a pasar por un puerto o aeropuerto para poder disfrutar de todo el paisaje nacional. Por eso, es justo que se aplique la subvención de residente a los canarios.
El problema lo encontramos cuando analizamos la evolución de los precios de los billetes de avión y los comparamos con los precios de nuestro entorno. Según datos del Ministerio de Fomento y del Gobierno de Canarias, el precio medio de un billete de avión de ida y vuelta entre la Península y Canarias se situaba en 2012 y 2014 entre 226 y 484 euros. Si tomamos en cuenta Semana Santa o Navidad, los precios medios se disparan a entre 500 y 700 euros. De ahí algunas noticias aparecidas en medios que comparan los precios de los billetes a Canarias con los de las rutas a Nueva York.
