During this research, a new scale was created to observe the therapeutic neutrality from the systemic family perspective based on its four dimensions (ethic, emotional, responsible and solution of neutrality). The main objective of this new measurement system is to evaluate if the therapist is able to keep neutrality when he/she is exposed to a simulated situation. On the other hand, a study was performed to analyses the tension between therapeutic alliance and neutrality. The sample of the study was a group of psychologists in Master's training who carried out a role-playing exercise consisting in a ten-minute session of couple therapy. The results show that the scale has good psychometric properties (inter-judges reliability and content validity). Furthermore, some statistically significant correlations have been found among all the dimensions of the therapeutic neutrality, although there is no correlation with the different dimensions of the AT. Due to its uniqueness in the field of measuring therapeutic neutrality, this study becomes a key contribution to the scientist community and its outcome will be useful in a wide range of clinical contexts.es_ES
