Jesucristo, "fuente de nuestro sacerdocio". Claves para la comprensión del pensamiento de Juan de Ávila sobre el ministerio sacerdotal

Abstract

Este trabajo presenta algunas pistas para ayudar a comprender el pensamiento de Juan de Ávila sobre el ministerio sacerdotal. Lejos de presentar una sacerdotalización del ministerio reduciéndolo a las funciones cultuales y relegando las pastorales, el Maestro Ávila presenta una profunda unidad entre estas dos dimensiones del oficio sacerdotal, unidad que nace de Jesucristo y que se expresa, de manera inclusiva y culminante, en la eucaristía. El artículo reproduce la lección inaugural del curso académico 2017-2018.

This work presents some clues to help understand the thought of Juan de Ávila about the priestly ministry. Far from presenting a sacerdotalization of the ministry reducing it to the cultic functions and relegating the pastoral, the Master Ávila presents a deep unity between these two dimensions of the priestly office, unity that is born of Jesus Christ and that is expressed, in an inclusive and culminating way, in the Eucharist. The article reproduces the inaugural lesson of the academic year 2017-2018.
