La migración en el Chile de hoy

Abstract

La migración es uno de los temas que ya no resulta ajeno a la sociedad chilena. No se trata de algo novedoso, de hecho la cuestión de la migración dentro de la historia de la evolución del hombre no es algo nuevo. Siempre se ha estado en constante movimiento y sus consecuencias no son fáciles de afrontar.

El vínculo entre la migración y el mundo del trabajo es en extremo importante. De esta manera, el futuro de las relaciones laborales se encuentra íntimamente ligado a la migración, su regulación y a la protección de los trabajadores migrantes y sus familias. Se ha señalado que la preocupación por la cuestión migratoria seguirá aumentando y que la necesidad de regulación aumentará en los próximos años.

La colección de trabajos que aquí se publica pretende aportar a la discusión nacional sobre la migración. Se intenta demostrar diversos argumentos jurídicos a la luz de la situación actual de la migración en nuestro país. Se incluyen trabajos realizados por distintos juristas intentando abordar diversas miradas, nacionales e internacionales, a las posibles mejoras a la protección de los migrantes en nuestro país.(www.librotecnia.cl)

Migration is one of the issues that is no longer foreign to Chilean society. It is not something new, in fact the question of migration within the history of man's evolution is not something new. It has always been in constant movement and its consequences are not easy to face.

The link between migration and the world of work is extremely important. In this way, the future of labor relations is closely linked to migration, its regulation and the protection of migrant workers and their families. It has been pointed out that the concern about the migration issue will continue to increase and that the need for regulation will increase in the coming years.

The collection of works published here is intended to contribute to the national discussion on migration. We try to demonstrate various legal arguments in light of the current situation of migration in our country. It includes works carried out by different jurists, trying to approach different national and international perspectives, to the possible improvements to the protection of migrants in our country.
