El proceso de radicalización yihadista: énfasis en las fases de reclutamiento y adoctrinamiento. Estudios de caso en territorio español.

Abstract

El presente trabajo trata un problema social actual como es el terrorismo yihadista y el riesgo que su desarrollo supone para la seguridad de la sociedad y del Estado. Esto se debe a que son miles los europeos que deciden apoyar la Yihad, ya sea trasladándose a territorio de combate o desde su propia residencia en España. En este proceso de radicalización, en el cual el individuo decide dejarlo todo atrás y luchar para defender sus creencias e ideología, se pueden distinguir diferentes fases. Este trabajo de investigación se centra en las fases de reclutamiento y adoctrinamiento. En base a esto, se explican las diferentes teorías del proceso de radicalización y las fases que se dan durante este. Finalmente, para el debido cumplimiento del objetivo principal, se realiza una investigación empírica de 16 casos reales ocurridos en España para determinar específicamente la manera en el que el proceso de radicalización se ha llevado a cabo con los reclutados y cómo han sido las fases de reclutamiento y adoctrinamiento, con resultados contrastados con la parte teórica.

This paper discusses jihadist terrorism and the risk that its development poses for the security of society and the State. Jihadist terrorism is a current social problem both in Spain and in Europe, as some European individuals decide to show support for the Jihad, either from their own residence in Spain or by moving to a combat territory. In this process of radicalization, in which the individual decides to leave everything behind and fight to defend his or her beliefs and ideology, we may distinguish different phases. This research work focuses on the recruitment and indoctrination phases and aims to analyze cases that have happened in the last 6 years in Spain. Based on this objective, the different theories of the radicalization process and the phases that characterize it are explained. Finally, an empirical investigation of 16 real cases that have occurred in Spain is carried out to determine the mechanisms that define the specific radicalization process used with the recruited individuals and to show how the phases of recruitment and indoctrination work, using empirical results which are contrasted with the theory presented.
