Perfil del pedófilo online y medidas de prevención

Abstract

La pedofilia se ha trasladado a un nuevo ámbito: el cibernético. Con el desarrollo de las Nuevas Tecnologías e Internet se han incrementado los delitos de pornografía infantil y acoso sexual a menores vía online. Cada día más niños y adolescentes están conectados a Internet y se convierten en víctimas especialmente vulnerables a este tipo de ciberdelitos. En primer lugar, se define qué se conoce como pedofilia online, y se diferencia dicho término de otros. De igual modo se exponen las tipologías estudiadas sobre los pedófilos online, y las diferencias existentes entre los distintos perfiles. Por otro lado, se destacan las formas manifiestas de pedofilia online más relevantes que son la pornografía infantil, el grooming online y las comunidades pedófilas. Además, se explican las características del ciberespacio, como el anonimato, la transnacionalidad y la descentralización, que ofrecen una amplia gama de oportunidades a los ciberdelincuentes. Por ello, finalmente se aclaran las medidas de prevención más eficaces en este ámbito, como la prevención situacional y la educación.

Pedophilia has been moved to a new scope: cybernetic. With the development of New Technologies and Internet felonies related to child pornography and virtual sexual harassment to minors has increased. Day by day more kids and adolescents are connected to Internet and they became especially vulnerable to these types of crime. First of all, this text gives a definition of what is online pedophilia, and what makes a difference between it and other terms. In the same way it exposes the studied typologies about online pedophiles, followed by differences between each profile. On the other hand, it outlines that the outstanding ways of pedophilia are child pornography, online grooming and pedophile communities. Furthermore, it explains the characteristics of cyberspace such as, anonymity, transnationality, and decentralization, that offers a wide gamut of opportunities to cyber-delinquent. Therefore, finally it cast a light on the more effective prevention measures in this term as situational prevention and education.
