La tesis del autor es que las constituciones del Concilio Vaticano II Lumen Gentium y Gaudium et spes constituyen la infraestructura teológica de la constitución apostólica Gaudete et exsultate. Al hilo de estas apreciaciones el autor irá recalcando cómo se inserta la constitución apostólica Gaudete et exsultate en el programa pastoral de Francisco. Finalmente, el autor sintetiza en diez notas y una codala propuesta de santidad que el Papa Francisco ofrece en esta exhortación The author s key point is that Second Vatican Council s constitutions Christ is the Light (Lumen Gentium) and The Joys and the Hopes (Gaudium et spes) are the theological infrastructure of the apostolic constitution Rejoice and Be Glad . While expressing these assessments the author stresses the way the apostolic constitution Rejoice and Be Glad is inserted into Pope Francis pastoral program. Finally, the author synthesizes in ten notes and a coda the proposal of holiness that Pope Francis offers in this exhortation
