Decrecimiento... ¿concepto aplicable o sólo ideología?
Abstract
El cambio climático ya no es un fenómeno que solo afecta a los ecologistas o políticos.
En el camino hacía un crecimiento económico infinito, tarde o temprano, los limites de
los recursos naturales llegarán. Es tiempo de buscar nuevos caminos y alternativas para
tratar la escasez de los próximos años. Este trabajo trata del decrecimiento como primera
alternativa al crecimiento económico aplicable en realidad. Además muestra por qué
ciertas ideas y conceptos lanzados en los últimos años no han tenido éxito. Buscando una
aproximación íntegra, el trabajo elabora ejemplos que integran socioesfera, ecoesfera y
tecnoesfera simultáneamente en las soluciones partiendo del ser humano como centro y
fuerza de posibles cambios. El minimalismo, el consumo colaborativo y comunidades de
transición solo son algunos ejemplos para indicar que ya existen varias ideas para cambiar
el sistema. Lo que falta es empezar a actuar. Climate change is no longer a phenomenon that only affects ecologists or politicians. On
the road to unlimited economic growth the limits of natural resources and of the planet
will be reached sooner or later. It is time to look for new ways and alternatives to
overcome the shortages of the coming years. This work deals with degrowth as the first
alternative to economic growth to be implemented in reality. It further shows, why ideas
and concepts during recent years have not been successful. Searching for an integrative
approach, the study includes simultaneously sociosphere, ecosphere and technosphere in
its solutions and focuses on the people as the centre and main strength of action.
Minimalism, sharing economies and transition towns provide just some examples
indicating that plenty of ideas to start to change the system already exist. All that remains
now is for people to start acting.
