El plan Trump: seguridad a cambio de bienestar

Abstract

El plan presentado por el presidente Trump supone una revolución en lo que a los planes de paz se refiere, ya que cambia la lógica de paz por territorios por otra que podríamos denominar «seguridad por bienestar». Prima el valor de la seguridad por encima de otros que podrían ser el del propio territorio, la población o incluso la democracia. Como contraparte, el plan ofrece a los palestinos una importante inyección económica a través infraestructuras, tratados de libre comercio y fondos de compensación. Este incentivo se usa para lograr la aceptación de un plan que difícilmente será aceptado por la Autoridad Nacional Palestina y mucho menos por Hamás.

The plan presented by the President Trump seems a revolution in respect of peace plans since it changes the logic of peace for territories towards another one that we could call security for welfare. Furthermore, it sets the value of security above others that could be for example, the value of the territory itself, the population or even democracy. As a counterpart, the plan offers the Palestinians an important financial injection through infrastructures, free trade agreements and compensation funds. This incentive is used to gain acceptance for a plan that will not be easy to accept by the Palestinian National Authority, least of all by Hamas.
