¿Qué factores sociales, residenciales y actitudinales explicaban hace una década la exposición a ser víctima de un delito en la Comunidad de Madrid?

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal proporcionar un análisis de los factores sociales, residenciales y actitudinales que explicaban la exposición a ser víctima del delito en la Comunidad de Madrid hace una década. La información obtenida ha servido de marco de contraste con la realidad actual, facilitando el debate sobre cómo y por qué han mutado o aparecido nuevas variables vinculadas al escenario descrito anteriormente. La metodología utilizada obedeció a la aplicación de una serie de análisis multivariantes, desarrollados a partir de la información proporcionada por el estudio Nº2702, realizado en el 2007 por el Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas (CIS). Entre los principales hallazgos se puede apreciar la relación estadísticamente significativa entre la percepción del nivel de seguridad en la Comunidad de Madrid y determinados comportamientos ciudadanos, la pertenencia a un estrato económico y lugar de residencia.

The main objective of this research is to provide an analysis of the social, residential and attitudinal factors that explained the exposure to being a victim of crime in the Community of Madrid a decade ago. The information obtained has served as a framework of contrast with current reality, facilitating the debate on how and why some variables linked to the scenario described have mutated while new variables have appeared. The methodology used was based on the application of a series of multivariate analyzes, developed from the information provided by the study Nº2702, conducted in 2007 by the Center for Sociological Research (CIS). Among the main findings we can see the statistically significant relationship between the perception of the level of security in the Community of Madrid and certain citizen s behaviors, the belonging to a concrete economic stratum and the residence in a specific location.
